Town Planning Assistant The Town of Maggie Valley is seeking a self-motivated, technology savvy individual with strong interpersonal skills to be our new Town Planning Assistant. Trash and Recycling Update One of the Town Contracted (CWS) Garbage Trucks did not run the regular route yesterday, due to a sick driver.  There is ONE TRUCK to run both routes in Town again today.  The driver and helpers will try their best to complete both trash and recycle routes today but in all likelihood, the recycling will not be completed until tomorrow. From CWS:   We are confident that we have a solid recovery plan to ensure we get all stops covered with minimal service interruption. Please leave your brown trash toter out, if it has not been emptied and also place your blue recycle toter out for service. We are sorry for the disruption of service!  

Memorial Day Holiday Schedule 2023 Monday, May 29th 2023 – We honor all military personnel who have died in active military service on Memorial Day. The Town of Maggie Valley offices will be closed on Memorial Day. The Haywood County Landfill is closed, so our trash and recycle pick-up schedule will be delayed one day.  Trash Pick-up will be on Tuesday from 7am until 5pm.  Recycle pick-up will be on Wednesday from 7am to 5pm.   Town Services will resume on Tuesday, May 30th. Working as a key member of the Town’s leadership team, the Finance Director must be able to effectively manage the financial resources of the Town. Overseeing an annual operating budget exceeding four million, the Finance Director is responsible for accounting, debt administration, cash management, payroll, purchasing, and tax collection, as well as overseeing a $7+ million investment portfolio and a fund balance approaching 140%.
