STATE OF EMERGENCY CANCELLED: EFFECTIVE SEPTEMBER 17, 2018 6:00PM
Effective at noon today (Friday September 14, 2018) Mayor Saralyn Price has declared a State of Emergency for the Town of Maggie Valley (corporate limits and extra territorial jurisdiction) as a result of the anticipated effects caused by the remnants of Hurricane Florence moving through Haywood County over the next several days. This State of Emergency has been issued without any restrictions or limitations at this time. Residents and visitors should pay close attention to changing weather conditions during the life of the State of Emergency and be mindful of rapidly changing conditions in Town, such as flooding or landslides. As always in cases of emergency dial 9-1-1.
