Presidents’ Day 2020
Monday, February 17th, 2020 – We wish you a safe and happy Presidents’ Day on Monday! The Town of Maggie Valley will have all offices and our Town Services running on the regular schedule. Town Hall will be open 8am to 5pm. Trash pick-up will be from 7am until 5pm on Monday and Recycle pick-up from 7am to 5pm on Tuesday, as usual.

Our community gets its name from Maggie Mae Setzer. Her father, John “Jack” Sidney Setzer founded the area’s first post office and it was named after one of his daughters. Each summer, Setzer descendants come from all over the country for a large family reunion in the historic valley.
