Maggie Valley Labor Day Schedule
The Town of Maggie Valley Town Hall offices will be closed on Monday, September 3rd in observance of Labor Day. We will re-open at 8am on Tuesday.
Revised Garbage / Recycle schedule: Trash pick-up on Tuesday, September 4th and Recycling pick-up on Wednesday, September 5th. Please place your brown garbage toter out by 7am on Tuesday and your blue recycle toter out by 7am on Wednesday for this holiday week.

Our community gets its name from Maggie Mae Setzer. Her father, John “Jack” Sidney Setzer founded the area’s first post office and it was named after one of his daughters. Each summer, Setzer descendants come from all over the country for a large family reunion in the historic valley.
