Thursday, July 4th – Maggie Valley Festival Grounds – Gates open at 6pm – Free Admission!
Bring your own chairs, blanket, picnic basket and yard games! Fireworks at dark!
Town Hall offices will be closed on July 4th. Offices will open on regular schedule Friday, July 5th at 8am. Celebrate Independence Day in Maggie Valley!
Maggie Valley Town Hall Offices will be closed on Monday January 20, 2025 in observation of Martin Luther King Jr.

Our community gets its name from Maggie Mae Setzer. Her father, John “Jack” Sidney Setzer founded the area’s first post office and it was named after one of his daughters. Each summer, Setzer descendants come from all over the country for a large family reunion in the historic valley.
