[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text] Road Closure / Maintenance Notice The Town of Maggie Valley’s Public Works Department will be working on the intersection of Springlake Road and Twinbrook Lane beginning Thursday, September 23rd through Friday, October 1st.  Expect Road Closures (up to 30 minute intervals) from 8am to 12noon and 1pm to 6pm.  Sunday, September 26th will NOT be affected. Some days will be ONE LANE during the same time period, with a flagman. Please plan your appointments and travel accordingly.  ONLY Medical Emergency personnel will be allowed through during the closure times. Food Trucks

Food Trucks Mobile Food Vending. The purpose of these standards is to promote the general health, safety, and welfare of the citizens of the Town by establishing reasonable standards to allow the retail sale of food and food products via mobile vendors, including food trucks, provided herein, and shall not apply to itinerant merchants. Permission. Nothing herein shall be construed to grant any right or license to mobile food vending operators to operate on private or public property without permission. Mobile food vending operators shall be required to have the express written permission of the property owner in order to operate on private property. Location Standards. Mobile food vendors shall only be located in nonresidential zoning districts within the jurisdiction of the Town including the ETJ, or as a special event approved by the Town Board of Aldermen herein as follows: Principal Use. Mobile food vendors shall only be located on developed property that is occupied by a nonresidential use in operation in a permanent structure. No mobile food vendor may sell food to the general public within the Town unless a business, nonprofit, or similar organization, with a physical location, has given signed written approval as part of an application submitted to the Town. Maximum Number. Maximum of one (1) mobile food vendor per individual private lot, except where a special event has been approved by the Town. Mobile food vendors shall not be located in a manner that impedes, endangers, or interferes with pedestrian or vehicular traffic and shall not impede safe ingress and egress at all entrances and are prohibited on public sidewalks. Labor Day Holiday Schedule 2021

Labor Day Holiday Schedule 2021 Monday, September 6th will be observed as the Labor Day Holiday. Town Hall offices will be closed on September 6th.  Offices will open on regular schedule Tuesday, September 7th at 8am. Garbage Service will be on Tuesday, September 7th.  Please place your brown toter out by 7am on Tuesday. Recycling Service will be on Wednesday, September 8th.  Please place your blue toter out by 7am on Wednesday. Have a safe and happy Labor Day!

Planning and Zoning Board Members Needed

Planning and Zoning Board Members Needed The Board of Aldermen of the Town of Maggie Valley are seeking applicants to sit on the Maggie Valley Planning Board and Zoning Board of Adjustment. Both Extra Territorial Jurisdiction (ETJ) and residents of the incorporated areas of Maggie Valley are needed. The Planning Board meets the 2nd Thursday of each month at 5:30 pm in the Town Hall Boardroom. The Zoning Board of Adjustment meets the 3rd Thursday of each month at 5:30 pm in the Town Hall Boardroom. Click here for more information. You may submit your application to Vickie Best, Town Clerk vbest@maggievalleync.gov or bring your application to Town Hall, Monday through Friday 8am to 5pm.  Applications will be accepted through Tuesday August 31, 2021 at 5pm. Celebrate Independence Day on July 4th, 2021!

Come enjoy Independence Day in Maggie Valley!   Free event at 3374 Soco Road!  The Festival Grounds gates will open at 6pm for you and your family and friends to come inside and find your spot to watch our great fireworks at dark!  Bring lawn chairs, picnic baskets, coolers, blankets, yard games, bubbles, frisbees – no alcohol please, no pets and no personal fireworks. The Maggie Valley Police Association will sell BBQ plates for $8. Happy Birthday America! *Please note – Our Town offices will be closed on Monday, July 5th.  Trash Service will take place on Tuesday, July 6th and Recycle Service on Wednesday, July 7th.
