Old Still Road Waterfall Park Project – Online Survey The Town of Maggie Valley is evaluating the feasibility of future recreation opportunities and enhancements to the Town’s eight-acre tract located on Old Still Road. This property includes the Big Spring Branch creek waterfall and has historically included an access trail that provided views of the falls. The Town has partnered with a design team to evaluate the site and develop concepts for a new park that will complement Maggie Valley’s robust park system and provide a scenic destination for citizens. Town leadership is interested in your feedback and opinions regarding this future park. Please take the next 10 minutes to share your thoughts and ideas by completing this survey. This survey was only open from February 1st to March 1st, 2021.

Town of Maggie Valley Phone Network Issues

The Town of Maggie Valley’s phone network is experiencing sporadic phone outages that affect all phone lines at both Town Hall and the Police Department. If you are experiencing difficultly trying to reach any Town affiliated phone numbers, please use email (info@maggievalleync.gov) or come by Town Hall.  We are here in the building and the phones are working randomly. We apologize for this temporary inconvenience and appreciate your patience!

Martin Luther King Jr Holiday Schedule 2021

Maggie Valley Town Hall Offices will be closed on Monday January 18, 2021 in observation of Martin Luther King Jr. Day.  We will reopen by phone, email and curbside service on Tuesday morning at 8am. Garbage and recycle pick-up will run on the regular schedule.  Please put your brown trash toter out on Monday by 7am and the blue recycle toter out on Tuesday by 7am.

Christmas and New Year’s Holiday Schedule 2020 / 2021

Town Hall offices will be closing at noon on Wednesday, December 23rd.  Offices will be closed Thursday and Friday December 24th and 25th for Christmas.  Our offices will also be closed on Friday, January 1st, New Year’s Day.  We wish everyone a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! Garbage and Recycle Services will run on regular schedule both weeks; Mondays are trash pick-up days and Tuesdays are recycling days.  Place your toters out at the curb by 7am.

On Friday December 11, 2020 the Town of Maggie Valley is hosting its first ever “Carpool Cinema” experience at the Maggie Valley Festival Grounds! This year’s film selection is “National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation” starring Chevy Chase. With so many Christmas events and experiences having to be modified or cancelled due to COVID-19, the Town thought it would give the gift of cinema this year. Guests will be able to watch all the Griswold Family hijinks on an epic 40’ viewing screen while listening to the movie through a dedicated FM station, without having to leave the comfort and safety of their personal vehicle. The event is free but you will need a ticket – one ticket per vehicle. Be sure to act fast; there are only 200 parking spaces available! Get your ticket here! To be compliant with all state COVID restrictions, all attendees will be required to stay in their car during the showing of the movie. Festival Grounds Restroom Facilities will be open for this event. Concessions will not be provided at the event, so we encourage you to bring your favorite theater snacks and drinks (no alcohol) with you. Better yet, stop by one of Maggie Valley’s many restaurants for a dine-in or carry out “Dinner and Movie Experience.” Gates Open at 6:00PM Movie Starts at 7:30PM Enjoy the Show!

Planning Board Vacancy The Town of Maggie Valley and its Board of Aldermen are seeking applications for nomination for a vacancy on the Town Planning Board.  The Planning Board consists of five members and meets at 5:30pm the second Thursday of each month. The Maggie Valley Planning Board has an important part in the development of Maggie Valley, as well as acting as an advisory board to the Town Board of Aldermen.
