2025 Independence Day Observed

Independence Day Holiday Schedule for Town Offices Town Hall offices will be closed on Friday, July 4th.  Trash trucks will run on regular schedule on Monday.  Recycling pickup will run on normal Tuesday schedule.  We will resume normal schedule Monday July 7.   Have a safe and Happy Independence Day in Maggie Valley!

Memorial Day Holiday Schedule 2025

Memorial Day Holiday Schedule 2025 Monday, May 26th  Today we honor and remember the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom. The Town of Maggie Valley offices will be closed. The Haywood County Landfill is closed, so our trash and recycle pick-up schedule will be delayed one day.  Trash Pick-up will be on Tuesday from 7am until 5pm.  Recycle pick-up will be on Wednesday from 7am to 5pm.   Town Services will resume on Tuesday, May 27th. Town Hall will be open 8am to 5pm or you may contact us by phone @ 828/926-0866 or email @ info@maggievalleync.gov.  Have a safe and Happy Memorial Day!

Easter Holiday Schedule 2025

Easter Schedule 2025  We wish you a safe and enjoyable Easter weekend!  Town Hall will be closed in observance of Good Friday on Friday, April 18th, 2025.  The Town of Maggie Valley offices and services will be running on our regular schedule on Monday, April 21st.   Trash pick-up will be from 7am until 5pm on Monday and Recycle pick-up from 7am to 5pm on Tuesday, as usual.  Yard Waste, White Goods and E-waste pick-up will all be running on the regular ‘call as needed’ basis.

Martin Luther King Jr Holiday Schedule 2025

Maggie Valley Town Hall Offices will be closed on Monday January 20, 2025 in observation of Martin Luther King Jr. Day.  We will reopen on Tuesday morning at 8am. Garbage and recycle pick-up will run on the regular schedule.  Please put your brown trash toter out on Monday by 7am and the blue recycle toter out on Tuesday by 7am.

Town Hall Offices will be closing Friday, December 22nd at 12:00pm. We will also be closed Monday December 25th and Tuesday December 26th for the Christmas Holiday! Columbus Day 2023 Regular Schedule

Town Offices will be open on regular schedule on Columbus Day, Monday, October 9th.  Trash service will run on regular schedule on Monday.  Tax payments will be accepted inside Town Hall, through our Drop Box location, plus online through the website (online payments incur additional fees.)   Pay by Mail:  You can always make a check payable to the Town of Maggie Valley and pay by mail. Please include the bottom portion of your tax bill and write your parcel identification number in the memo field of your check.  We accept postmark as date received for tax payments. If you would like to receive a receipt, include your email address or a stamped self-addressed envelope.

Municipal Elections

The next election will be held on Tuesday, November 7, 2023, for the Town of Waynesville, Town of Maggie Valley, Town of Canton, and the Town of Clyde.  Only residents within the town limits of Waynesville, Maggie Valley, Canton, and Clyde are eligible to vote.  Photo ID is required for voting. In-person, Early Voting will begin on Thursday, October 19 and end on Saturday, November 4.  Early voting will be held at the Senior Resource Center at 81 Elmwood Way, Waynesville NC.  If you do not vote during the Early Voting period, you will need to go to your assigned precinct on Tuesday, November 7.  If you are not registered to vote in Haywood County, you need to do so by October 13, 2023.  Check out all election details here!
