On behalf of the Maggie Valley Chamber’s Winter Days Committee . . .  THANK YOU to all who helped decorate Maggie Valley for the 2019-2020 Winter Season!  THANK YOU to those who helped with the skis and snowmen, painted them and installed and took down the skis.  THANK YOU to those businesses and residents who put white winter lights up and kept them up until the first of March! We look forward to having more businesses twinkling this next season.

We are already planning and preparing for the 2020-2021 Winter Season! We will have twenty (20) 8-ft snowmen this year and we will need people to paint them. Sixteen (16) 2 ft snowflakes will be created. And, our BIG PROJECT is to create three (3) “gigantic’ pairs of reindeer/elk to be placed throughout the valley. Our plan is to have a prototype of the ‘elk’ at the Tuesday, April 7th RISE and SHINE meeting to be held at the Town Hall Pavilion at 8:30am.

Additionally, the Town of Maggie Valley will be purchasing a new signature lighting display,“Ski Town” that will be placed at the intersection of US 19 and US 276. Measuring 75 feet long by 25 feet high, this display will feature animated skiers, snowboarders and snowflakes.

Thank you for your support of this project that keeps Maggie Valley twinkling during the dark (snowy and rainy) days of winter!
