On Friday December 11, 2020 the Town of Maggie Valley is hosting its first ever “Carpool Cinema” experience at the Maggie Valley Festival Grounds! This year’s film selection is “National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation” starring Chevy Chase. With so many Christmas events and experiences having to be modified or cancelled due to COVID-19, the Town thought it would give the gift of cinema this year. Guests will be able to watch all the Griswold Family hijinks on an epic 40’ viewing screen while listening to the movie through a dedicated FM station, without having to leave the comfort and safety of their personal vehicle. The event is free but you will need a ticket – one ticket per vehicle. Be sure to act fast; there are only 200 parking spaces available! Get your ticket here! To be compliant with all state COVID restrictions, all attendees will be required to stay in their car during the showing of the movie. Festival Grounds Restroom Facilities will be open for this event. Concessions will not be provided at the event, so we encourage you to bring your favorite theater snacks and drinks (no alcohol) with you.
